Lots of Bees…..

I decided to make these cards at the last minute today, so I hope you like them:

You’ll have to excuse the lighting, but it’s STILL raining here in the UK. I think it stopped for a couple of minutes two days ago……..

Here they are individually:

(I decided one of the grass pieces was to become a crown……..)

I used a stamp and die set from Clearly Besotted, and a stamp and die set from Heffy Doodle. The images were coloured with Copics – it’s amazing how many colours you use, isn’t it?

I had a visitor to my craft room, who settled in one of my craft drawers – thankfully not one I was using:

The honeycomb stencil is from Imagination Crafts, ink blended onto one of the backgrounds, and the embossing folder of the other card is from Sue Wilson.

  1. Well those bees look like sunshine, even if you’re getting so much rain! I love how you used the little mushrooms, sprigs, and grass with your bees – so creative! Your birthday bees are darling with their honeycomb background. Yes, amazing how many Copics you can use on one small image. I had to smile seeing your cat in the drawer – so glad you shared. Thanks for joining in the fun with us at the Twofer Card Challenge!

  3. Those bees are just adorable, Lynda … and so well trained to be flying in formation on your first bug hugs card … what a great idea to turn the grass into a crown for the queen! Fabulous stencilling for the honeycomb on your birthday card … just the perfect spot for those busy little bees to buzz round! What a fun find in your drawer … he/she fits just right! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Anita 🙂

  4. What cute cards! I’m just in love with both of them. The bee is adorable and all the different little elements you used with each of them on the CAS(E) Sketch is a very special touch. Super cute how you used one of the grasses for a crown. I adore the three bees with the stenciled honeycomb. It has everything going for it and still very CAS. Most adorable of all is your kitty in the drawer. Looks just like my Scooper we used to have. So nice to have a friend nearby while you stamp. Thank you for joining us at Twofer!

  5. My cat Minnie visits me in my craft corner too and usually falls asleep on my glass media mat, right where I’m working!! Your cards are so cute and love how you coloured the bees with the white highlight area on their face (I wouldn’t think to do that). The hexagons are a perfect background and what a cool idea to make grass into a crown…genius! I’m so glad you shared these with us at TIME OUT!!

  7. These are just precious, Lynda! I love the texture and layout of your first design (you rocked the CTS sketch!) and your fabulous coloring of the bees and how each one has his/her own fun accessory! Your second design just screams happiness! I love the stenciled hive you made! Thank you for sharing your special friend who made himself at home to be near you, so sweet! And thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #17! I hope it stops raining soon! Hugs, Darnell
