Simple but effective

I had inspiration for the following couple of cards from a YouTube channel by Sarah Elliott. Sarah has a series of videos called ‘Use it or lose it’ and involves going through her crafty stash and creating cards, utilising items she hasn’t used, or not used for a while.

Episode 10 involves going through her embossing folders, so I utilised her idea and created a bunch of cards using Kraft card 6” x 6” pre-scored card, Centura Pearl card cut to fit on the front, and embossed with my range of embossing folders – some of which I have never even used.

My  embossing folders consisted of tattered Lace 8×8 inches squares, corners, and borders, as well as Crafters Companion textures embossing folders. I added embellishments from Tim Holtz/Sizzix butterfly duo die and matching embossing folder, Tim Holtz/Sizzix feathers die and matching embossing folder. The sentiments I used were from Tonic. Some of the elements are flat to the card, and I have raised some with foam pads.

These cards were easy to make and put together, but I feel quite effective.

They are going to be donated to the charity which supports the ward I work on – Neurocare.
