Hello once again. It’s my final card as Surprise Party Guest at Seize The Birthday. It’s been a fabulous couple of months – I didn’t realise how many birthday cards I actually needed too – most of them went out within a couple of weeks of making them.
Onto the topic for the birthday card this time:

Here is my card:

MY ‘wheel’ is obviously the Colour Wheel – a slightly reduced colour scheme – I thought 6 colours would work for this…and with the pandas being black and white – well – I thought it would work quite nicely.
For images such as these pandas, then Copics are my favourite way of coloring – small images, with a little shading for dimension.
Now let me tell you – can you divide a circle into 6 equal parts without a protractor? It took me forever – hubby came up with the idea of printing out a clock face with just the numbers – then using the 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 – as the six partitions……he comes in handy occasionally!
I coloured the six parts, then drew a black dividing line between each, and die cut with a stitched circle.
The pandas are from Clearly Besotted – as is the sentiment. The word ‘colour’ – using the UK spelling to get the six letters – I stamped in a very light brown ink, then coloured each letter with the same Copic colours I had used on the wheel.
The ‘happy birthday’ is part of a longer sentiment, but I masked off the rest of it just to keep these two words.
I hope you can join us in the birthday challenge – whether you use the option or not – it would be great to see you there. xx
I shall be entering the following challenges:
A Bit More Time To Craft – anything goes
AAA Birthday – birthday
As You Like It Challenge – favourite colouring medium and why
