Shimmery and Glittery Bauble

Hi everyone. It seems I am on a circular-fest…..:

I began by ink blending a couple of red Distress Oxides onto a piece of white card, then spraying it with some shimmer spray. Whilst that was drying, I die cut the Hero Arts ‘Snowflakes and Ornament Fancy Die‘ out of red glitter card which I had backed with a piece of double-sided sticky tape.

Another piece of white card just smaller than the card front was also die-cut with that same die, to create an aperture.

The red shimmery card was stuck down to the base, the aperture piece stuck on top, then the bauble inlaid into the die-cut space.

The sentiment was also die-cut out of the red glitter card.

I must say the Gemini Junior die-cut this red glitter card very well – but I did use the metal plate in just in case. I must remember that for other fancy dies in the future, and not try to die cut them without this metal plate, especially when using double-sided sticky sheets.

Beautiful and shimmery snowflake ornament! Love the red glitter card — so festive and perfect for Christmas. Thank for the info about the glitter paper cutting well with Gemini Jr (and metal plate). Have used mine to cut glitter paper yet, but that is so helpful. Thanks for sharing your beautiful CAS card with us at CAS Christmas!
