Twofer Trees

Hi there. I’ve been trying some new techniques in my craft room, but have also had time to create a couple of CAS cards for the current challenge at Twofer Card Challenge. These are my cards:

The aim of the game at Twofer is to create two different designs for two different occasions using the same stamps/dies and/or stencils. The current challenge prompt is ‘TREES’.

I used one of the trees from Altenew ‘Moments In Time‘ stamp set. The first is stamping with tree to create and edge or border, and adding a stamped and die cut ‘awesome‘ from Altenew ‘Super Script‘ in the same colour card stock.

The second card is using the same tree with a sentiment added – clean and simple and one layer.

The tree images on both cards were stamped using Concord & 9th ink, and the banner for the turquoise card is also Concord & 9th card stock.

Even though these now look quite simple – it took me ages to actually plan what colours to use, and where to stamp the images – absolutely ages. It takes me longer for these kinds of cards than ones with more images and layers……………..

So – these two cards for the current challenge at Twofer.

  1. Beautiful CAS twofer, Lynda! I love the frilly border that the tops of the trees created and your color choice on your first card. Your second card has a lovely sentiment and the tree is perfectly positioned. Thanks for joining in the fun with us at the Twofer Card Challenge!

  2. Super CAS and super stylish, Lynda … yep, can definitely relate to the time it takes to get CAS just right! The first card is so crisp and fresh in the turquoise … the tree canopies stamped along the edge put me in mind of coral … especially in that yummy colour! The warmth and serenity of your second card is lovely … perfect with the simple quote sentiment! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Anita 🙂

  3. Well done making these two uber CAS cards, Lynda! They look deceptively easy, but do take planning. Stamping your trees as a border was very clever on your pretty turquoise card and I love it standing gracefully on your sympathy card. Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #31! Keep well! Hugs, Darnell
