Christmas – scraps and no stamping

Hello. I was intrigued by a couple of challenges where you had to create a Christmas card using scraps, and others for Christmas and no stamping. Here is what I came up with:

Now I know why I kept all those strips of card and patterned paper:

I started by taking a white panel and sticking down some double-sided tape all over it. Once the backing was removed, I took pieces from the pile in the photo above and stuck them down. I chose a diagonal pattern rather than straight up and down. It came together quite easily I must say. I then trimmed that panel down a little and adhered to a white card base.

The sentiment is from Time 4 Tea Designs, with the shadow layer, and then three layers of the smaller sentiment – topped with gold card stock from Spellbinders.

I’m still very fascinated by the strip background, and as you can see I have lots left to create more.
