Altenew Celebrations stamp set

Hi there. A quick posting today to share a card involving Copic coloring and some masking:

This is made for the current challenge at the CAS Christmas Card Challenge:

I took the single present stamp from the Altenew ‘Celebrations‘ stamp set, stamped once, then masked it off and stamped again a couple more times. I then coloured with Copics, and added a Heffydoodle sentiment.

A quick, clean and simple card, which actually took quite a bit of planning, but the main thought process was which colours to use……..

Now I’m off to plan the card for Dad for Father’s Day……and then it’s his birthday a couple of weeks later………masculine cards are ones I tend to struggle with – but I’m sure I’ll manage – and even more sure you will see what I make.

CASology Bouquet

Hello everyone. I have a card for you today that is for the Guest Designer position this week at CASology: (little jumpy dance!)

The cue word is ‘BOUQUET’, and let me tell you – I actually struggling with a stamp set and design for this card………..

I hunted through my stash and took out several stamps to consider, but as you can see – I finally settled on Altenew ‘Celebrations‘ stamp set and this little bouquet image, along with a sentiment from the same stamp set.

I stamped it on a separate piece of card first and tried several variations of colour with my Copics, then decided on this layout, and these colours. The stamp itself is quite sketchy – so I went that way with the colouring too – no shading, and not quite filling in the leaves and flowers.

It ended up being a one layer card – very, very unusual for me – but I am really pleased with how this looks.

CAS colours

Hi there. I have a card different to the ones I have posted recently. They have been a riot of colour, almost, so this is the opposite side of the coin. Just three colours.

I was inspired by three challenges with this card – CASology, Cupcake Inspirations, and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge.

I used Altenew ‘Celebrations’ stamp set for the cake, and the sentiment below. Isn’t a piece of cake just absolute contentment? There is almost a deep sigh when I take the first bite of a piece, so I thought the sentiment fitted quite aptly. I think the sentiment is supposed to mean contentment with marriage, and celebrating happiness – but I like it how it is.

I stamped with Versafine black onyx, and coloured with my Zigs. The difficult part was deciding where on the card I wanted the cake and sentiment to go…….the cake moved several times until I settled with this placement.
