Hi there. Some play time in my craft room, using new products from the recent Maker Mania #6, and other products I haven’t used as yet:

Whilst working with the Elizabeth Craft Designs blooms from the post yesterday, I also played with this set of dies to create these blooms.
I used some gilding polish on a white card, and die cut the flower layers. Once I had glued them together, I attached the stems from a previously created ink smooshed background.
The flower pot is a set of dies I used a dark Kraft card stock, then slightly inked the long edges to create some dimension.
The border at the bottom looked like the edge of a shelf or garden, is from a Sizzix die – also part of the Maker Mania #6 kit.
I used some 49 and Market card stock on a white 5 x 7 inch card base, and added the elements as you see – and also added some greeny tinged sequins from my stash.

I like to try different ways of creating cards – even though some of them I may not do again – at least I have a go. I think that is the point of the Maker Mania events – a lot of scrapbooking and layouts, as well as mixed media, card making, and more techniques to try. Very varied, and packed with ideas – it’ll take me a while to go through them all, I am sure.
I shall be entering the following challenges:
