Coloured Vellum Strip

A quick post today, for the new challenge beginning at Cardz 4 Galz. The theme this time is to use vellum on your project – lots of choices of where to go with this, and I look forward to seeing your creations:

I used The Ton ‘Fab Day Peony‘ stamp set on some Lawn Fawn vellum – heat embossing with gold, coloured the back of the images with the colours you see, die cut the edges with Lawn Fawn ‘Stitched Scalloped Borders‘, and stuck down.

I’m trying to keep my Design Team duties and responsibilities going, and crafting is helping me get through losing my dad a few days ago – very therapeutic and healing to create – it is helping me deal with things – but my blog posts will be a little shorter than usual.

I shall be entering the following challenges:

Dragonfly Hugs….

A quick little post here as I forgot all about some challenges which are ending soon – I tell you, my mind is all over the place at the moment!

Here is another couple of cards I made yesterday:

I did a reverse colouring of the dragonfly, just to see what it looked like – and I liked them both. I used Copics to colour these images from Heffy Doodle ‘Big Bug Hugs‘, and added some white gel pen for details.

The scribbles behind each is a die from Tim Holtz ‘Scribbles and Splat’ and die cut from a piece of card I had used some glimmery Imagination Crafts Starlights paints – using a brayer on some card.

The challenges I will be entering are:

Freshly Made Sketchessketch

The Alphabet Challenge I for Insect

AAA Cardsone image with option of positivity

Cut It Up ChallengeCritters with a die cut

Lots of Bees…..

I decided to make these cards at the last minute today, so I hope you like them:

You’ll have to excuse the lighting, but it’s STILL raining here in the UK. I think it stopped for a couple of minutes two days ago……..

Here they are individually:

(I decided one of the grass pieces was to become a crown……..)

I used a stamp and die set from Clearly Besotted, and a stamp and die set from Heffy Doodle. The images were coloured with Copics – it’s amazing how many colours you use, isn’t it?

I had a visitor to my craft room, who settled in one of my craft drawers – thankfully not one I was using:

The honeycomb stencil is from Imagination Crafts, ink blended onto one of the backgrounds, and the embossing folder of the other card is from Sue Wilson.

I shall be entering the following challenges:

Time Out ChallengesNature – option of one layer (not followed the option)
