Pet Sympathy

Hello there. I have a card to share made for one of our closest friends, who has recently had to say goodbye to his fur baby:

I wanted to create a rainbow background, so cut some strips of coloured card stock down to one quarter and one half inch in rainbow colours – with a little gold glitter.

I adhered double sided sticky tape to a card panel, then placed all the strips as you see, following the ROYGBIV order to some extent, and the smaller gold glitter strips between each run through of that order.

I then used a Simon Says Stamp nesting arch die to cut this down, and adhered that to a card base.

The dog silhouette is from Pink & Main, received as part of the Crop & create earlier this year, die cut three times and stacked together.

The sentiment is from Gina K Designs, also received as part of the same virtual event, stamped, die cut, and also layered three times.

I shall be entering the following challenges:

What a lovely card, with such a kind message, Linda. The rainbow background is beautifully done, and I’m sure your friend appreciated your thoughtfulness.

Thanks for sharing with us at ATSM.

    Hugs, Carol x

A beautiful way to tell someone you understand the pain. This type of handmade card is especially meaningful to anyone losing a fur baby. I have a friend who actually requests that I make a few for her each year so she has them to share with other fur baby parents when needed. She said anything on the shelf just doesn’t cut it. As she works as a volunteer for a dog shelter I think she knows what she is talking about.
