Bunny Thanks

Hello once again everyone. I have a card to share as Guest Design Team for this new challenge at Dragonfly Dreams. I was lucky enough to be chosen as one of the Top 3 for the January challenge and was invited to join them for a future challenge.

Their new challenge theme is ‘animals’. Here is my card:

I wanted to use a new to me die set from The Greetery of this cute little bunny called ‘Bunny Kisses’. This die set includes the bunny and a few other elements for the bunny to hold – I chose to use the flowers for this card, but there are also some little eggs.

The bunny was die cut and assembled, and I also put several flowers together in different colours to be able to choose how many and which colours I wanted once the card was assembled.

I created the background florals using a layering stencil and Pinkfresh Studio inks, then cut that down so I could layer it with a black panel, and then layered that onto a white card base.

When I lay the bunny onto the background, I felt it was too busy behind him, so I added a circular vellum die cut, then the bunny. This circle die is also from Pinkfresh Studio.

I added the flowers then the black foiled sentiment, as well as some black enamel dots.

I hope I see you in the Dragonfly dreams gallery with your creations featuring animals. xx

So Many Reasons To Be Happy

Hello. I have been creating using a card kit from Spellbinders – outside of my comfort zone – but loving the fancy fold:

I understand this is called a ‘seagull’ fold. I came across this when viewing one of my DT friends and her recent post. which linked to a video on how to create it. Her post is here.

More pictures:

I chose to use some Spellbinders patterned papers as the background pieces, and some die cuts from one of their card kits. I don’t usually use a lot of these die cuts, but I seem to have quite a collection going now – so I took the opportunity to create this little jumping bunny scene. I feel the bunny is protecting itself from the sun – though we aren’t having much at the moment here in the UK. I understand it is coming soon though…….

I added some enamel dots to the centre of the flowers in the front panel, then decided that those polka dots on the patterned paper deserved some too – once I start I can’t seem to stop adding them. The enamel dots are from Concord & 9th and from a previous online crafty event.

I shall be entering the following challenges:

Tic Tac Toeusing the top row – fancy fold, die cut, enamel dots

Christmas Pine Cones

We have a new challenge starting at The Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge. The theme is always anything goes as long as it’s Christmas or festive. Here is my card:

Using one of my pre-made ink smooshed cards, I die cut the pine cones and branch. The base is a 3D embossing folder – leaving it white to be able to see the texture, but also to highlight the pine cones and branches.

I also used some enamel dots I had laying around – no idea where they came from. I think they were part of a kit or an online order as a freebie – but I thought the colours matched the card perfeclty.

Quite simple in it’s design, but lots of texture.

I hope you can come and join us with your Christmas makes. xx
