Curvy Girl with Diamond

Hello once again. I have a card to share today as a new challenge has started at The Alphabet Challenge – this time we have the letter ‘J‘ and we want to see ‘Jewels or Jewelry’. Here is my card:

This curvy girl is from Stamping Bella, stamped with Gina K amalgam ink then coloured with Copics.

Once die cut, I turned to plan my layers and colours for the card, raiding my stash of coloured card to find some that would match the dress – I didn’t think of that before I coloured her – and cut the layers as you see.

I thought it needed a little more bling/jewels, so I used some blingy purple tear-drop thingies……….no clue where I got them from but the colour seemed to match to dress…….and also found some Nuvo drops that matched too, but I restrained myself with those and only added eight drops….. 🙂

There is a lot of shiny jewels and jewelry from the design Team, such a joy to see. I hope you can come and join us – I look forward to seeing you in our gallery. xx

Spring Flowers – Daisy

Hi there. A new challenge is beginning at Cardz 4 Galz and this time the theme is ‘Spring Flowers’. Here is my card:

I used the Altenew ‘Spring Daisy‘ stamp set and stamped the flowers in two shades of grey, and the leaves in a grey outline, and green inside layer.

I didn’t add a central colour to the flowers, as I liked the two colour combination here.

Once I had used the matching dies to cut them out, I played with the layout a little, adding and taking away several times, then adhered the flowers with 3D gel, the leaves with glue, and some of the buds with dimensionals.

I took a sentiment from a Stampin Up stamp set for the top right corner….. then went to my stash of Tonic Nuvo Crystals Drops – I think I need an intervention here – I just can’t stop using them………………..

And if they weren’t enough – I went and added some bling with some sequins:

Well – who doesn’t like a little bling? The sequins are actually greener than they appear in the pictures, and the drops a little less green than they appear in the pictures……….

I hope you can come and join us and show us your ‘spring flowers’ – I look forward to seeing what you create, and will hopefully see there in our gallery. xx

Simply Merry Christmas

Hi there everyone. There is a new challenge starting at The Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge, and – as always – the theme is anything goes as long as it’s Christmas. Here is my DT card:

I used some Catherine Pooler stamps and inks to create the background snowflake effect, along with a Catherine Pooler ‘Merry Christmas‘ die cut sentiment.

I added some Tonic Nuvo Crystal drops in red and gold – wherever I could…..I just couldn’t stop myself.

I find I enjoy creating my own backgrounds with stamping smaller images, and this set – from at least a year ago – has some lovely images in it. It may even be a couple of years ago – but I still like to explore my older stash, and give them some love.

I hope you can come along and join us in this challenge – I look forward to seeing your creations in our gallery. xx
