Hi there. I have created a card using some of the products received as I am attending the virtual Concord & 9th Summer Camp 2022 this weekend.
This die set was used by Cathy Zielske to create a couple of cards, so I used the ‘left-overs’ and some added die cuts – waste not, want not…..
I first stamped the sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black ink, then whilst that was drying I assembled the flowers.
The die set, the card stock, and the patterned paper are supplied as part of the kit, as were the pink and yellow gems in the centre of the flowers. I also added some Pinkfresh Studio red gems around the sentiment.
I couldn’t let the die cuts go to waste, and they happened to fit in with the current challenge at Color Throwdown.
Hello once again. The Alphabet Challenge has started a new challenge, the letter is ‘F’ and the theme is ‘Friendship’. Deborah is hosting this time round. Here is my card:
I went with a two colour combination for this card for some reason. I didn’t plan it that way, but it certainly came out that way.
I layered some patterned paper with a matching colour of card, and added some MFT stitched flowers with clear gems in the centre of each. I did toy with the idea of some leaves but decided against it.
The words are from Concord & 9th, die cut and layered 4 times to create some dimension.
I hope you can join us with your creations following our theme – I look forward to seeing you in our gallery.
Hello. I am hosting the new challenge at Cardz 4 Galz, and I have chosen the theme of ‘die cuts and/or punches‘. Here is my card:
I recently ‘attended’ a virtual craft weekend with Pinkfresh Studio. This floral bouquet is from that weekend, and I didn’t use it on a card at that stage, but knew I could use it for when made a card for this challenge.
The image was stamped, and then the matching stencils used to colour it in, and then die cut.
The grey background panel was dry embossed with a Stampin Up folder, and then the Hero Arts wood frame attached.
The flower bouquet was added, and the sentiment – also from Pinkfresh Studio – attached as you see.
I added some gem droplets for more inteest.
I hope you can come and join us -I’m looking forward to seeing your creations – I know you are going to make it difficult for me to choose the winners. xx
I chose a previously created background from an online class with Jenn Shurkus, and the images were coloured during that class – but – again – not used……so I decided to piece them all together for this card.
Ink smooshed and sprayed background, a star stencil using some purple ink.
I die cut the words from Concord & 9th is silver glitter card – layered a couple of times – and that was fiddly, let me tell you!
A hillside cut in the same glitter card, the igloo and yet attached with 3D foam pads, and some iridescent little water droplets for added interest.
I hope you can come and join us with your Christmas makes and increase your Christmas stash. I look forward to seeing you in our gallery. xx
Hello. I’m just popping in to share a card created for several challenges:
The card base and the smaller panel are from a cream card stock, with the panel being a textured piece of card.
I die cut the leaping bunny out of white and coloured the bunny using a couple of brown Copic markers, then die cut the bunny die again in green card – cutting off the bunny and layering the green on top of the white.
The wreath was die cut using a lighter green card, cutting off the bottom of the wreath so it frames the top and not the bottom of the semi-circle piece.
I thought about a sentiment, but I couldn’t find one that I liked – despite have many, many sentiment stamps and even dies – but I like this clean and simple and I also liked the ability to be able to send this as a ‘just because’ card……
Hello. The Alphabet Challenge has reached the letter ‘E’ and Billie A has chosen the theme of embossing – wet or dry. Here is my card:
I chose another of my ink smooshed backgrounds in pinks and oranges as a background to the butterfly stamp.
I heat embossed the image in gold embossing powder, and also embossed the sentiment from the same stamp set. I also added some little sequins for some additional interest.
I hope you can come and join us with your embossing creations – wet or dry embossing – so many options. xx
Hello once again. Happy Little Stampers CAS challenge has started a new CAS themed challenge. This time we want to see ‘HUGS’. Here is my card:
This cute hugging pair of koala’s is a stamp from Heffy Doodle. I coloured them with Copics – first having a little internet search for the colouring of koala’s – grey’s and brown’s – so I coloured each differently – warm grey and cool grey, with some white gel pen for interest.
The sentiment if from the same stamp set.
The background circle is a Concord & 9th stamp and using a lighter green, then a stitched circle die.
I hope you can come and join us with your CAS ‘HUGS’ themed cards. xx
Cardz 4 Galz has started a new challenge. Billie A has chosen the theme of ‘two or more patterned papers‘. Here is my card:
I began by die cutting the Simon Says Stamp ‘Vine Background‘ three times in white, and then once with four different patterned papers.
I laid the first white die cut down, then placed a different piece from the patterned paper die cuts in the leaves, and then added the next two white layers on top – just in case I had some glue where I didn’t want it on the edges.
I then chose a pre-made sentiment – I think from Pinkfresh Studies but not exactly sure – and then dotted around some gems in the more open spaces.
I hope you can come and join us with your patterned paper creations. xx
Hello. I have a card to share which took a lot of die cutting and layering – but I am pleased it turned out so bright and cheerful:
The card base is 5×7 inches so I could get all the elements on comfortably.
The white panel was die cut with the three cloud dies from Heffy Doodle, and placed onto a Distress Oxide panel (Saltwater Taffy) with foam tape, creating some gaps between each cloud bank.
The balloon was die cut – watching the Heffy Doodle video to see what goes where – and the little rabbit from Time For Tea designs added. I had to cut round his arm a little as I wanted it hanging over the edge of the basket.
I added the sentiment, then some sequins from my stash which seemed to go with the colours I had used on the balloon.
Hello there. It’s my time to host at The Alphabet Challenge. Having reached the letter ‘D’, I chose the theme of ‘die cuts‘. Any occasion, any creation -as long as there are die cuts involved – then you’re good to go.
I die cut sooooo many of these little layering dies from Spellbinders – I had so many left over that I created two cards:
This die set from Spellbinders ‘Color Block Mini Petals‘ only has two dies to it – a very small set. However, I think it certainly packs a punch. There is a background petal shaped die, then the other die cuts out the layers. I decided to go with a fairly simple colour scheme – but as you can see I placed each of the four colours in different order on each petal.
It’s time consuming, it’s fiddly – but I actually quite enjoyed it. I sometimes get my ‘fiddly’ head on – though rarely! – and I knew I had to just be patient, go with it, and see what happened.
I used Concord & 9th card stock – three greens and a yellow – and I knew the card stock would die cut perfectly so it was just a case of using my little Heffy Doodle mini die cutting machine over and over and over again…….
Putting the layout together also took a bit of time – which petal and which colour-way to go where. Again, time consuming….
I chose a matching green for the sentiments and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder, and even found some Concord & 9th gems in the same colours to ‘sprinkle’ down. I can’t remember ordering them – but ‘found’ them so used them.
I hope you can come and join us with your ‘die cuts’ creations – I look forward to seeing all your creations. xx
