Happy Birthday Beautiful

Hello there. It’s been a busy few days, so I am here with a card created for the new challenge at Cardz 4 Galz. Caz is hosting, and she has chosen the theme of:

An Easel Card

Here is my card:

The main floral bouquet was created using another of the Pinkfresh Studio washi from their ‘Celebrate in Blooms’ suite. I stuck the washi onto white card then used the matching die to cut them out.

The easel crad was created, and I used some blush card stock for the background, and also for the inside of the car, run through with a Spellbinders embossing folder.

These panels were then glued down, and the main bouquet was added on top of a white oval die cut – also from Pinkfresh Studio.

For the ‘stopper’ on the easel card. I gold heat embossed the Pinkfresh Studio sentiment, die cut it, layered a couple more times, then stuck that down.

For the inside panel, I also used some of the washi.

Hello again. A final card using the last of the smaller florals from the Pinkfresh Studio ‘Pretty Blooms‘ suite incorporating their washi:

The green background was created using a letterpress plate from Spellbinders ‘Festive Press‘, Pinkfresh Studio green ink, and Spellbinders cotton card stock. This was cut down slightly and adhered to a white card base.

The oval was die cut from a Pinkfresh Studio nesting oval set, attached with 3D foam, and the small floral arrangement splaced where I thought would look effective.

The sentiment is gold heat embossed, die cut, and layered a couple of times, then glued down.

Celebrating You

Hi – once again here with a card created using the Pinkfresh Studio ‘Pretty Blooms‘ washi suite – so many ways to use these products:

The background was created using a ‘Scalloped Grid’ cover plate die, and adhered directly onto a white card base.

The two floral sprays were attached with 3D foam, the sentiment gold heat embossed and added with more 3D foam, them this time pink gems from Spellbinders were my final touch.

Hello again. Another card created using the Pinkfresh Studio ‘Pretty Blooms’ suite and the washi tape:

The background for this card was created using the Pinkfresh Studio letterpress plate ‘diagonal plaid‘ and a Pinkfresh Studio green ink, onto a Spellbinders cotton card panel. I then splattered with black acrylic paint and when dry, cut down slightly then glued onto a card base.

The shaped label was also a Pinkfresh Studio die set, attached with 3D foam, the two washi floral elements also added with 3D foam.

The sentiment was gold heat embossed, again added with 3D foam – and my usual final addition was some gold gems.

Beyond Happy For You

Hello there. I’ve been spending quite a bit of time in my exercise game on MetaQuest and also in the craft room – playing, just playing, as we have had to say goodbye to another of our cats. He was 20 years of age, and time just got away from us. That will be three cats in 6 months we have lost……to say we are heartbroken is putting it pretty mildly. Hence – the need to switch my mind to other things.

I have been spending some time with Pinkfresh Studio washi tape from the ‘Pretty Blooms’ collection. I created a couple of panels of the washi, die cut them, and made three cards – to begin with. Here is the first card:

Taking inspiration from the current challenge at Tic Tac Toe, I created a background wood grain effect by swiping a light and slightly darker grey across the panel. I learned this from Gina K on one – if not several – of her videos.

This panel was cut down slightly and adhered to an A2 card base.

One of the floral washi bunches was added with 3D foam, then the sentiment, stamped and gold heat embossed, die cut, then added to the bottom corner.

The final touch – as per usual – was to add some Spellbinders gems.

A simple card – for me – with the bunch of florals being the centre of attention.

Rainbow Floral Birthday

Hello again. I have scheduled this post to start with the new challenge at Cardz 4 Galz. I’m currently away visiting my sister in Quebec, so unsure how much access I will have to comment and respond – she will try and keep me busy helping her and her hubby settle into their new house……

The new challenge has the theme chosen by Pamela, a word inspiration:

Rainbow

Here is my card:

For this card I chose to use a rainbow floral washi from Pinkfresh Studio – Vines & Roses. I started by laying the washi down onto white card, then used the matching die to cut the images out.

The background panel was created using a Sizzix embossing folder, then gloued down to the card base.

The oval was die cut from a Pinkfresh Studio nesting oval die set, and then the floral images arranged around this oval, attached with glue and 3D foam as needed.

The centre panel was also created using a Pinkfresh Studio die set (Double Stitched Fancy Frames), and the sentiment gold heat embossed, die cut, adhered to the little panel, then attached to the centre of the card.

Some ombre gems also added for more interets and a little sparkle.

Happy Birthday

I have a card to share created for a good friend who is celebrating her 60th birthday tomorrow:

Following the theme from AAA Birthday to use Washi tape, I gathered my Pinkfresh Studio product suites which included Washi tape, and used ‘Fluttering Butterfly‘ to create the leafy sections and the butterfly itself. The Washi was adhered to white card, then the matching die to cut them out.

To add interest to the background, I die cut the ‘Floral Lace’ die twice and layered it together, glui9ng to the card base.

The leaves and butterfly were adhere, then some gold gems for extra interest, and to match the gold within the Washi tape itself.

The sentiment banner is from a Simon Hurley/Spellbinders die set, cut out of gold, with a white backing, and adhered with 3D foam.

ABC Christmas Challenge – P, Q, & R

Hello everyone. It is my turn to host the new challenge at ABC Christmas Challenge. We have three letters and themes for you to choose for your Christmas projects:

P is for Pastel colours

Q is for Quick

R is for Robins

I chose to make two cards covering two of the challenge themes:

Q is for Quick:

For this card, I used a Spellbinders embossing folder for the background panel, and onto that I adhered some die cut washi from Pinkfresh Studio, then a previously foiled sentiment. Simple and quick, but I think very effective none-the-less.

R is for Robins:

This card was little more faffy, but fun creating.

I first used the two layering Robin stamps from The Greetery, then the matching dies to cut them out. I also wanted some branches, so used another layering stamp set from The Greetery ‘Blooming Branch’.

The background is a panel of silver glitter card stock, with branches adhered to it. When I came to add the branches and the birds, I though the background was too busy, and I wanted the Robins to stand out more, but still keep the glitter effect.

I used a Pinkfresh Studio die to cut out a shaped piece of vellum, added that on top of some of the branches, then added branches and the two birds on top of that.

The final addition was a silver foiled sentiment:

Floral Thanks Gatefold

Hello everyone. It’s been a few days since I posted – I was out and about in the gorgeous weather we are having currently in the UK. Cardz 4 Galz has started a new challenge. Billie A is hosting, and has chosen the theme of ‘flowers‘. Here is my card:

I decided to do another fancy fold, this time a gate fold, and used the last of the previously prepared washi panels from a Pinkfresh Studio suite.

I first created the gate fold base card, and used the stamps from the suite all over the front.

The washi panel was created using an embossing folder on the background, then adhering all the washi images, cutting away the overhang, then matted this with a dark blue panel. The gold foiled sentiment was added, then the panel attached to the left opening of the base card.

I also completed the inside of the card using a white panel, some of the washi floral off cuts, matted with another piece of blue card stock, then adhered to the centre.

Just Saying Hello

Hello once again. The Alphabet Challenge has started a run through the alphabet again. For this challenge, hosted by Helen, we want you to choose your own letter from the alphabet, and create a card from your own choice of theme for that letter….

I chose ‘F’ is for Flowers’, and created this card:

This is actually a gate-fold card, so I created the blue card base first, then ran that through the machine with an embossing folder. This created an all-over pattern for the whole of the card base.

The front panel was created using the same embossing folder, onto which I adhered some Pinkfresh florals from one of their washi tape suites – attached to a white piece of card, then die cut.

Once the images were laid out onto the white panel, with images over-hanging the edge, I cut the over-hangs off. The foiled sentiment was added, as were some gold gems.

I placed another white panel on the inside of the card, also decorated with some of the washi florals.
